Application Process

Step 1
Fill out the form below and submit it. If you are under 18, your parent/guardian must sign also.

Step 2
Have your youth pastor or young adult leader fill out the recommendation form and submit it immediately. Your application is not complete until this is turned in. A home group leader or ministry coordinator may complete the recommendation.

Step 3
Apply for you passport NOW. This process can take weeks -- don't delay! Visit your local post office for more information or go to the US passport office in your area for immediate applicaiton.

Step 4
Begin praying for the people while learning all you can about the culture of the country you will be visiting.

Step 5
Begin raising funds and awareness around you as payment deadlines quickly approach.

Paying for the trip
Once your application has been processed you will receive suggestions about raising support. As a missionary you can receive contributions through sponsors. Str8way will send you information about raising support, including how to write letters, call and follow up with potential sponsors.

Included in the trip price:
All costs including administrative expenses and international round-trip airfare, lodging, transportation and meal costs are covered for the duration of the trip.

Not included in the trip price:
Domestic travel (to and from designated airport) is not included in the trip price. The cost does not include obtaining a passport, visas, immunizations, optional adventure day activities, or money for souvenirs, snacks or laundry services. You must also pay any costs associated wtih damage to property and dismissal from the field due to serious violation of rules. Because Str8way is a non-profit organization and due to IRS rules, contributions from sponsors are non-refundable.

Proof of Insurance

Proof of insurance that will conver you internationally must be provided. We will provide you with a carrier that can carry you for an additional cost.

Specific Limitations The purpose of Str8way Ministries is to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. Any sightseeing and shopping will be permitted only if it coincides with the team's purpose and may be cancelled if not deemed convenient or if it hinders ministry. Schedules, travel arrangements and trip prices are based on current research and are subject to change. Str8way Ministries reserves the right to change or cancel a trip for any reason. In the event that a trip is cancelled, team members will be reassigned to another country. Str8way Ministries requires strict compliance with rules and regulations, including the rules concerning conduct, dress, and Christian lifestyle. These are explained in the packet of information sent to accepted applicants. Failure by team members and staff to comply with Str8way Ministries policies is grounds for dismissal without refund or reimbursement. Team members, leaders and staff serve at their own risk and Str8way Ministries is not liable in the event of sickness, accident, death, terrorist acts or for transportation or any other expense beyond normal involvement. Str8way application fees and all sponsor funds received by Str8way are contributions and are not refundable. To receive a tax deduction, the IRS stipulates that the donor must release control of all funds donated to a non-profit organization. For this reason, contributions from sponsors cannot be refunded nor can they be designated to any specific person. The individual will be a fund raiser and will receive credit for raising funds equal to the price of his/her trip. If an individual is unable to participate in Str8way Ministries experience, the funds he/she raised, less incurred expenses and administrative fees will remain credited to his/her account for one year. The Str8way Ministries experience includes intense physical activity, including hiking, continuous walking and strenuous choreography. We require all participants to be in good physical condition and we may require a doctor's reference and exam. I have read and understand the above information.
